GHEIST are a berlin-based duo consisting of stefan glaesser, born in a small town near jena, and jean philipp frank, born in mannheim. the two first met in 2007 at the pop academy in mannheim, where they quickly became close friends. what started as a shared passion for making music soon turned into a creative journey they’ve been on together ever since.
from their early days as studio producers to becoming one of the most exciting live acts in today’s electronic music scene, GHEIST have stayed true to their roots as friends who simply love creating and performing music. their melody-driven, emotional performances captivate audiences worldwide, blending the energy of a dj set with the intensity and intimacy of a concert. since their debut at the legendary watergate in 2017, they have firmly established themselves on the international circuit.
their debut album zukunft was released in november 2021, marking a major milestone in their career. the album had a significant impact within the music industry and beyond, attracting the attention of global brands such as volkswagen, yves saint laurent, and the north face, who soon began collaborating with the band.
in 2023, they followed up with a series of acclaimed releases, including impala, marimba, shine again, and i am human, on some of the world’s most renowned labels. in june 2025, their collaboration with rÜfÜs du sol on ‚in the momen‘ generated huge buzz both within the electronic scene and far beyond. their first album single ‚searching places‘ (embassy one, june 2025) blends warm synths, soulful vocals, and nostalgic 80s elements into their signature mix of electronica and house. the accompanying music video dropped on july 10, with a remix ep featuring oliver koletzki, marc hoffen, and unfazed already announced.
looking ahead, GHEIST are working on their next studio album while also launching new remix projects and collaborations with some of the industry’s biggest names. their 2025 tour schedule includes numerous headline performances at european festivals, alongside shows in ibiza, dubai, hong kong, and singapore, with tours across north and south america also in the works.
